Cadillac, Chevy, GMC, Buick, Hummer H2 Keyless Keyfob Remote Programming 2007 and up.wmv

Welcome to CarandTruckRemotes.com video channel. Today we’re going to show you how to program
a remote for… we are in the Cadillac Escalade, but those instructions also work for most
full size GM trucks and SUVs, and also some cars like Chevy Impala ’05 and up or Buick
Lucerne. So, alright, it’s actually very easy. We have one remote that’s programmed, and
a couple of remotes that do not work right now. All you have to do is to switch ignition to
ON position, then you have to press repeatedly the button right here. On certain vehicles maybe, it may be placed
in a different area. You have to keep pressing it until you see
“relearn remote key”. OK, so we got that. Now we have to push this button right here
(the check mark button). OK, “remote key learning activated”. OK, now we have to press LOCK and UNLOCK buttons
on the remote, and just keep holding them down for about 15 seconds. (*beep *beep). Apparently that was enough, it didn’t need
15 seconds. OK, now we have to do the same thing with
the existing remote to sort of synchronize (*beep *beep). OK, now both remotes should be working. So, we switch the ignition OFF to exit programming
mode. And let’s see if it works. OK, and now this remote. Now both remotes are programmed. As you see it’s very easy. Again, the same procedure works for most:
GM Trucks and SUVs and some GM cars. All you have to do is just utilize the information
center. Which is located either here, somewhere here,
or on the other side for some cars, and the display tells you what to do as well. So, again, very easy procedure, you can do
it by yourself. Those remotes are available on our website
at CarandTruckRemotes.com Thank you very much. Bye.

  1. 2008 Pontiac G6 key fob has to be programmed by your local dealer or a pro automotive locksmith

  2. Work on a 2008 Buick Lacrosse? Also, what is the button you first pushed 5 times? You just said 'this button'. Thank you for putting this on.

  3. Yes, this programming will work for the 2006 Lucerne. Are you getting an initial response from the car? You might try 'robooting' the car's electrical system by disconnecting one of the car's battery terminals for about 15 mins or so and then trying the programming again. Sometimes this will help to work out any bugs that might be in the system. If this does not work, there may be an issue with the remote.

  4. Unfortunately not. This remote transmitter must be registered to work with your CTS keyless remote system at your local Cadillac dealership or a automotive (car) locksmith.

  5. Great Video. I have a 07 SRX V6 and follow the instructions and heard the beep. I also replaced the batteries and it work fine, but when I leave and walk away for 15 to 30 seconds the remote loses the freq, it does this for both remotes. Is there something in the SRX that I can check to see what is causing the freq to stop communication ?

  6. I'm sorry, but the 2008 Chevy Malibu remotes must be programmed by a dealer or an automotive locksmith. There are no do-it-yourself programming instructions available.

  7. Sounds like there may be a glitch in the receiver of the keyless system. You can try rebooting the electrical system by disconnecting one of the car battery cables for a few minutes and then trying the programming. This may work to solve any bugs in the system. If that doesn't work, you may have to have it checked out at a dealer.

  8. Hi thanks for replying, I decided to disconnect the negative wire from the battery for about an hour and connected back. I reprogrammed the remotes and it has been working fine for the last 4 days. Again thanks for writing back.

  9. Is the car responding to the programming mode? If not, you can try this:
Sometimes the keyless system will have a 'glitch' in the electrical and will not go into programming mode. You can always try 'rebooting' the car by disconnecting one of the car's battery terminals for about 15 mins, reconnect, and trying programming again.
If you are getting response from the car and not the remote, there may be an issue with the remote itself.

  10. I just called a Chevy dealer and they wanted to charge me 48 bucks plus tax. Unreal. Thanks for saving me the money.

  11. All you do is put key in and turn forward but don't start. Then on your dash go to info and hit turn on program. Hit lock and unlock together and then your doors will lock

  12. I attempted to follow these instructions. When I press the information button, I dont get a PRESS TO RELEARN REMOTE KEY option. I only have the PRESS TO RELEARN TIRE POSITION. Does that mean that my truck is not equipped with remote entry? I have a fob someone gave me. The truck is an 2009 Chevy Silverado 1500

  17. hi.. i have a TAHOE 2007, but i want to purchase the Cadillac 2007 Keyless Entry, because looks better, let me know if the Cadillac Escalade Keyless Entry can be programmed with my Tahoe??…

  18. I have a 2009 Buick enclave. The remotes were broken. The dealer wanted $149 for a single remote, and then $64 to program the remote (which they said would take 1 hour), I got 2 remotes from this website ( for about $80) and my 12 year old son (who is a pretty smart kid) programmed them in 30 seconds. It was mailed to me in 2-3 days, no problem , no hassle. This is a great service and THIS IS THE WAY TO DO IT!!! You should NEVER go to your dealer for this because- YOUR DEALER WILL RIP YOU OFF!!!! Thank you CarAndTruckRemotes.com

  19. thank you so much this video helped me set up my remotes! I do have a problem though that i'm hoping you can help me with. When I activate one remote the other deactivates why is that is there any way I can get both to work for the same vehicle? if so how could I go about doing that?

  20. I already have a remote that unlocks and locks the truck on my 2011 chevy silverado lt. however it didn't come with a remote start fob. will this activate a fob that has the ability to remote start the truck? Thank you for your time!

  21. This video says it covers Chevy Silverado 2007 + but I couldn't find "Relearn remote key" on my 2013 Chevy Silverado 2500HD….any suggestions?

  22. Does this setup work on a 2008 Cadillac CTS? if so what button was it that you pushed in the beginning… if not can you make a video on programming a 2008 Cadillac CRA? Thank you!

  23. I followed these instructions, the fob I just programmed works for the lock and unlock, but the lift gate on remote doesn't work, any suggestions?? I have tried the process a few times with same results.
