Audi B8 – 2.0T – Aluminum Water Pump Housing – Benefits, Common Issues, and Product Review

what’s poppin geez got aluminum water
pump hereby graph hey YouTube aaron davis here with another really quick
product review what we have here today is v8 2 liter water pump what makes is
different compared to the plastic ones is that this is an all aluminum housing
made by Graff when the water pump leaks that things to check out is actually
coolant running down between the actual water pump and the thermostat housing
right here there’s a gasket in here or sometimes on the plastic water pumps the
actual housing over time starts to crack and to leak the reason why you’d want to
upgrade to this one is because it’s an all aluminum option and the housings not
gonna crack on this compared to the plastic if you’re not sure if your water
pump is actually leaking you can always perform a coolant pressure test and
you’re gonna actually see coolant leak from the water pump or the thermostat
housing run all the way down your block and puddle on the tray at the bottom of
your engine there’s not always a check engine light on when this item fails but
if there is it’s usually a fault code for coolant performance this job is not
relatively hard but it’s not easy as well it’s located right underneath the
intake manifold this water pump is not driven off of a belt or a chain there
it’s actually belt driven off of a balance shaft this has been another
really quick product review if you like what you saw LIKE the video and
